In the fall of 2023, Dr. Nicole Irizarry founded Kissel Hill Veterinary Services, LLC. After seven years of being an associate veterinarian, including five years focused on large animal medicine, surgery and reproduction at a group practice in Lancaster County, Dr. Irizarry decided to build her own veterinary practice to better serve the local population of horses, cattle, sheep and goats. Dr. Irizarry believes in the value of knowing each client, and in working with those clients to promote, maintain or recover maximal health and productivity. She strives to keep up on advances in veterinary medicine and share that knowledge with her clients.

When not working on business projects or continuing education, Dr. Irizarry enjoys spending time with her family. As a Penn State graduate and a long-time Philadelphia Eagles fan, many fall weekends involve watching football. Dr. Irizarry’s family attends St. Mary’s Church in Lancaster where she sings alto in the choir. She stays active as an alumni volunteer with Penn State’s Schreyer Honors College. The Finger Lakes region of New York holds a special place in her heart, since she spent six years in the area between veterinary school at Cornell University, and a couple of years in mixed practice about an hour from Ithaca.
