During business hours, call promptly

717-368-8216

Even if you are not sure your animal is experiencing an emergency situation, a discussion can help us collectively decide if that animal should be seen urgently, treated with supplies you may have on hand, or can wait to be seen at a later point.

After-hours services for non-regular clients will be limited, and determined on a case-by-case basis

When calling for an emergency, be prepared to leave a message with the following information

  • Your name, address of the animal, contact phone number. Please provide your address if it differs from where your animal is located.

  • Patient information: Name or ID number, approximate age, animal breed or type, location

  • How long ago the problem began

  • If any medical therapy has been administered to the animal

  • Details relevant to the specific type of problem (e.g. size and location of wounds, intake of feed/water, complete vs. partial weight-bearing if an animal is lame, what can be seen/felt if an animal is in labor)
